SUMMER SERIES RACE #5!

What an evening Tuesday night was... We drew a 7th place start... out of 8 so we were starting behind... One car came off the track before the green so that moved Gavin to 6th... placing us on the outside...which is no bueno! But hey, he can make it happen so we just held our breath! Gavin got up to top 4 fairly quickly and then took a corner to hard and spun on his own. When this happens you are given a strike and a DOT (dead on track) and you go to the back.... So there we were...in the VERY back... Shew, we had plenty of laps left so we remained hopeful...

Like a rocket Gavin came through the field... Ryan Isreal (points leader) and Blake Grim got tangled and then they both went to the back. This got Gavin back up to 4th. Gavin quickly passed both the 3rd and 4th place car to make it to the second position behind Colby White... he never did catch Colby but still pulled in a very strong 2nd place finish! His best in Jr. Honda thus far! Consistancy is proving to be a really good thing for Gavin!! We are currently awaiting the results of the points race to post... Hoping we are second still and close enough to get it done next week! We are so proud of Gavin!! GO GAVIN GO!!!!!
